What do we mean by free mortgage advice?

When you contact mortgages-online we will be happy to discuss your mortgage requirements and offer guidance and advice without charge. You will be under no obligation to arrange a mortgage or any other financial product through us. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time but not without your acknowledgement. If you agree for us to make a recommendation or arrange a mortgage or other financial product then we will receive remuneration either by receiving commission from the product provider(s), agreeing a fee with you or a combination of both. The remuneration we receive will depend on how you agree that we should be paid. The following options are available and will be agreed with you before any chargeable work is carried out. The option we agree with you will be determined by the amount of work deemed necessary to fulfil your requirements. Option 1 (Commission Only): We will receive commission from the product provider with whom we place your business. This may apply to your mortgage and any other product we arrange for you (e.g. life assurance, buildings and contents). You will not pay a fee Option 2 (Fee Only): You will pay a fee. We will offset this against any commission that we might receive from product providers with whom we place your business Option 3 (Fee and Commission): You will pay a fee and we will receive some or all of the commission that the product provider(s) would normally pay us The amount of commission that we might expect to receive varies from one contract to another. We will inform you of the amount that we would expect to receive.
